Universum team is growing

We are happy to announce some changes in the Unviersum Switzerland team!

First of all in May 2010 Nelly Riggenbach Hasler took over the position of Director DACH. Working for Universum since round 4 years as Country Manager in Switzerland, she could gather an important and valuable experience in Employer Branding. Today she is responsible for the three markets of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The Swiss team also grew in the last couple of months and we would like to present our new employees based in Basel.

Swiss students don’t prioritize job security

Emerging from turbulent times, American undergraduates voice their concern for job security louder than students in other countries. From nine possible career goals, Universum asked 300,000 university students around the world to select their three most important goals. The need to feel secure or stable in a job is an actual career aspiration for most students. In thirteen out of 25 countries, job security was in their top three choices, whereas Swiss students don’t prioritize it in their range of career objectives.

Behind diversity

The Swiss Universum Awards took place on Mai 20th at Die Giesserei in Zürich-Oerlikon.
The evening celebrated the top Ideal Employers of business and engineering, IT and natural science students in Switzerland.

Swiss Students salary expectation

My Future Career is a survey about students career expectations, Universum asked 224’542 students in 16 countries what they expected to earn in their first job after their studies. The results show that Swiss students expect to earn the most (80’403 CHF per year), followed by the Danish (72’111 CHF), Norwegians (64’681 CHF) and Germans (57’133 CHF).
